Brunswick Mill - Manchester

Brunswick Mill, is a seven-storey building constructed around 1840, in Ancoats, Manchester. The mill was continually used for cotton spinning until the mid 20th century before becoming recording studios and rehearsal rooms used for 1000's of bands for several decades after.

Along with the new courtyard, the building has been sensitively restored with its most significant features retained and repaired, while the adjoining new build proposals have been purposely developed in terms of scale and massing to ensure that the mill remains the most prominent feature."

The plans include approximately 20,000 sq ft of workspace and community space in addition to 150 apartments.

The mill is a local landmark and viewed as a key part the area's character and heritage.
